2017

Salut à tous!

One week ago happened something that is always somehow a big thing no matter what: new year. New year, new life. That's what everybody always says. But for me, new year actually kind of started a new life: I changed families.

So, last sunday I packed my life in suitcases again, emptied my room and said bye to the house that had become my home during these last four months. It was the end of a certain time and beginning of another. It felt weird but at the end it wasn't as hard as I thought, because I still see my first family every now and then. I came to my new house, and my second family is also awesome! I felt very welcomed since the first night and I also had an exchange student sister for the first week. At the moment I'm living with my host parents and a little sister!

2017 has already been awesome. I spent the new year's eve with my third family and we had a lot of fun! I've started my life as a part of a new family and started to get to know them. I've spent an awesome last week (that included snow) with my oldie, but also said goodbye to her until we see again.

When 2017 started, I didn't do any New Year's resolutions like I haven't done almost ever. Still, I have a lot of goals for this year. Of course, I want to spend an awesome half a year in France and make a lot of memories for lifetime. I'm also going to go home eventually, and I know I'll also have a lot of wonderful days and moments in Finland!

But then, talking about me. The number one goal for myself is to learn to stress less, at least about things that I don't have any impact on. Two days before the New Year I talked with my parents and cried because I was so stressed about upcoming things. Then suddenly three days later most of those things had already cleared up at least somehow. So, I have a long way to go with this, but I'm on the road!

The other thing I want to do is to be more spontaneous, because last week showed that by being spontaneous, awesome things happen! This is actually a goal between me and my favorite American, and together we going towards less stressful and more enjoyable life!

Even if I only take into account the things I know are going to happen this year, it will be awesome! And luckily, there are so many more things to come I have no idea about!

Hyvää uuttavuotta, Bonne année, Gott nytt år, Happy new year y Feliz año nuevo!

À la prochaine,

Nea
